The Maximum Accreted Mass of Recycled Pulsars

چکیده

The maximum mass of neutron stars (NSs) is great importance for constraining equations state NSs and understanding the gap between stellar-mass black holes. in X-ray binaries would increase by accreting material from their companions (known as recycling process), uncertainties accretion process give challenge to study NS at birth. {In this work, we investigate accreted with considering effect spin evolution process. By exploring a series binary calculations, obtain final given birth transfer efficiency. Our results show that can accrete relatively more systems donor masses range $1.8\sim 2.4M_\odot$, when remnant WD $\sim 0.25-0.30M_\odot$, positively correlated initial mass. For $1.4M_\odot$ moderate efficiency 0.3, could be $0.27M_\odot$. used estimate minimum massive observations.

The White Dwarf Companions of Recycled Pulsars

I review what properties of the white-dwarf companions of recycled pulsars can be inferred from optical observations, and discuss how these can help us understand the characteristics and evolution of these binaries. I focus on spectroscopic observations, describing results obtained recently, and looking forward to what may come.

Recycled pulsars with black hole companions: the high mass analogues of PSR B2303+46

We investigate the possibility that mass transfer early in the evolution of a massive binary can effect a reversal of the end states of the two components, resulting in a neutron star which forms before a black hole. In this sense, such systems would comprise the high-mass analogues of white dwarf-neutron star systems such as PSR B2303+46. One consequence of this reversal is that a second episo...

Recycled Pulsars Discovered at High Radio Frequency

We present the timing parameters of nine pulsars discovered in a survey of intermediate Galactic latitudes at 1400 MHz with the Parkes radio telescope. Eight of these pulsars possess small pulse periods and period derivatives thought to be indicative of “recycling”. Six of the pulsars are in circular binary systems, including two with relatively massive white dwarf companions. We discuss the im...

Unique White Dwarfs Accompanying Recycled Pulsars

Knowledge of the properties of the white-dwarf companions of radio pulsars can provide unique constraints on the characteristics and evolution of these binaries, as well as on those of its constituents. Many white-dwarf properties can be determined accurately from their spectra, but for the very faint pulsar companions spectroscopy has only become feasible with the advent of large telescopes li...

On the absence of mildly recycled radio pulsars amongst the population of ordinary single radio pulsars

Current scenarios for the evolution of binaries predict that only 1%or less of the single radio pulsars in the galactic disk have been recycled in a binary. The fraction of such pulsars amongst the detected single radio pulsars is smaller than this. For magnetic field strengths B > 1012 G the period vs. magnetic field diagram shows no evidence for injection of pulsars at P ∼ 0.5 s. For magnetic...
